HealthEdge Employees Vote Company to 2020 Boston Globe Media Top Places to Work

Burlington, MA, November 30, 2020 – HealthEdge Software, Inc.® (“HealthEdge”), provider of the industry’s leading integrated financial, administrative and clinical platform for health insurers, HealthRules® Payor, today announced it has been named one of the Top Places to Work (large employer) in Massachusetts in the 13th annual employee-based survey project from The Boston Globe.

Top Places to Work recognizes the state’s leading workplaces, voted on by the people who know them best — their employees. The survey measures employee opinions about their company’s direction, execution, connection, management, work, pay and benefits, and engagement. Organizations are placed into one of four groups: small (50 to 99 employees), medium (100 to 249 workers), large (250 to 999), and largest (over 1,000).

“For the past several years, HealthEdge has fully embraced our responsibility for the employee experience, more specifically their engagement, inclusion, and opportunities for continuous improvement. From communicating honestly and openly, to fostering a diverse, supportive work environment, we care and recognize when our employees are engaged they drive an improved customer experience,” said Laura Tomaino, Vice President, People and Culture. “This year brought with it unique challenges, as we, among thousands of other employers, pivoted to a remote workforce and navigated racial tensions and injustice. We focused on what was in our control, leaned into our culture and committed to keeping our employees safe, informed, and equipped to perform their jobs, while maintaining strong connections.”

“In a year when the pandemic upended everything, these organizations put their employees first,” said Katie Johnston, the Globe’s Top Places to Work editor. “We were delighted to find that a third of the employees trust their employers more because of how well they reacted to the pandemic.”

The Top Places to Work rankings are based on confidential survey information from nearly 80,000 individuals at 285 Massachusetts organizations, collected by Energage, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention. From offering progressive benefits to empowering employees to help drive the company’s direction, each winner excelled at making workers feel integral to the company’s success — all while creating a fun, supportive work environment.
