HealthEdge To Showcase Payer Technology at Medicare Advantage Leadership Innovations Forum
Company will host, present, and moderate at upcoming conference dedicated to Medicare Advantage best practices
BURLINGTON, Mass.—January 20, 2020 —HealthEdge®, provider of the industry’s leading integrated financial, administrative and clinical platform for health insurers, today announced the company will present a session, moderate a panel and host a booth at the upcoming Medicare Advantage Leadership Innovations Forum, taking place January 27 – 29, 2020 at the Phoenix Marriott Resort Tempe at The Buttes (Phoenix, AZ). The company is a 2020 Partner and Educational Conference Underwriter.
During the forum, which brings together leaders from the nation’s top Medicare Advantage plans to share best practice strategies and results plan-wide, Harry Merkin, Vice President of Marketing for HealthEdge, will present a session entitled, “Challenges, Opportunities, and Strategies for Payers Looking to Grow Medicare Advantage Lines of Business.”
With 11,000 Baby Boomers turning 65 every day, it’s no wonder health plans are actively growing their Medicare Advantage businesses. To learn more about how payers are approaching this growing market, HealthEdge and independent research firm Survata surveyed more than 200 Medicare executives on their growth plans and strategies around Medicare Advantage. Merkin’s session will explore, based on the survey findings, the drivers and strategies that health plans have considered to help capitalize on this significant opportunity. The session will take place on Tuesday, January 28th at 10:10 a.m.
Later that day, Merkin will moderate a panel discussion, “Social Determinants of Health — Focus on Implementation & ROI,” with executives from Oscar Health, United Healthcare, Mom’s Meals and DentaQuest serving as panelists. With so many factors woven into the success of SDoH programming, including (but just scratching the surface) accessibility, affordability, willingness to change, and critical partnerships to sustain the changes, panelists will discuss how companies are addressing these factors and leading programs at scale.
“Medicare Advantage health plans must increasingly modernize IT systems to support tech-savvy baby boomers and position themselves to quickly respond to evolving regulatory mandates, combat challenges from market disruptors, and harness technology innovations while ensuring quality care and controlling costs,” said Dannette Coleman, Executive Vice President, Business Development at HealthEdge. “Considering social determinants of health – as newly emphasized by CMS and supported by the value-based nature of Medicare Advantage – is another piece of the puzzle that will be critical in keeping beneficiaries in good health, something HealthEdge’s customers are already tackling head-on.”
